GiGL are now able to identify records within our data holdings that are noted to be invasive non-native species for London.

These designations were defined by the London Invasive Species Initiative (LISI) as part of their work. Several categories regarding potential impact and control have been defined by LISI and are highlighted within the data base.

Information is based on the following statuses: 

- Schedule 9 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981

- The UK Water Framework Directive Technical Advisory Group’s invasive species list
