Mobilising Data: Ecological Consultants and Local Environmental Record Centres
an informational guide
This guide is produced on behalf of the London & South East region of local environmental record centres (LRCs).
It seeks to address some of the impediments to sharing your data with LRCs, such as, data ownership and the cost of re-formatting your surveyed species data, by offering practical solutions.
What is more, by sharing your survey data with us, we can better develop our products offerings, including data search reports, to help inform your desk studies and surveying.
We are not alone in wanting to encourage data sharing. The IEEM through their Code of Professional Conduct clause 5.7 encourages data sharing too.
Click here to view ‘The life cycle of LRC data’, and how data sharing is an integral part of LRCs work but also how it can benefit you and your clients.
