London Borough of Southwark

The London Borough of Southwark has an area of nearly 3,000 hectares and has designated 63 SINCs (Sites of Importance for Nature Conservation). Southwark first launched their Local Plan in 2007, detailing the priorities for planning in the borough. Southwark works in partnership with GiGL and is a core member of LBBF (London Boroughs Biodiversity Forum), which discusses information and good practice related to biodiversity and open spaces in London.
