Greenspace Information for Greater London CIC (GiGL) is the capital’s environmental records centre – we mobilise, curate and share data that underpin our knowledge of London’s natural environment. We enable our stakeholders to make informed decisions in policy and practice.
A Growing Partnership
GiGL’s ongoing development has been supported by local authorities, land managers, non-governmental organisations, volunteer recording groups and other data holding organisations who value what we do.
We’ve worked with some of our partners for many years and have grown with them. Their needs have shaped our development since our first days as the London Biological Recording Project in 1996, to our launch as a fully fledged Environmental Records Centre in 2006, and now as a Community Interest Company (CIC). They continue to guide us and help us develop ever greater uses for the data we hold.
