A fine open grassland area with many sports pitches. At the rear of the sports field is a remnant of the old Finchley Common. This nature reserve has a rich and diverse flora and fauna, with woodlands, scrub and many ponds next to the busy North Circular Road (see also Coppetts Wood). The site has been declared a Local Nature Reserve (LNR).
