St. Peter Cheap Churchyard
Borough: City of London
Space type: Cemetery/churchyard
Area: 0.02 ha

A small paved square on the site of the St. Peter Cheap churchyard. The church was destroyed in the 1666 Great Fire of London and never replaced, though the site remained in use as a graveyard until 1859. The ornamental railings including the image of St Peter were erected in 1712. This is also the site of one of the Great Trees of London – the Cheapside Plane Tree.
