Grade: Borough Grade II
Access: No public access
Area: 5.16 ha

Description

This sliver of roughland is squeezed between Stockley Road (A408), Heath Park Golf Course and a current regeneration site. The site appears to be used by the public, although no public footpath is apparent, and provides access to nature in an area lacking accessible wildlife sites.Hillingdon Healthy Walks project uses this site – a Walking the Way to Health (WHI) scheme; see link for details.

Wildlife

The site is a mixture of scrub, tall flowers and grasses. The scrub consists of osier, grey willow and hawthorn, plus dense patches of bramble. Tall flowers include yarrow, hemlock, mugwort and goat's-rue, with extensive stands of common nettle. There are large patches of rank grasses, including couch and false oat-grass.
