Description

This small wood, which is probably ancient, lies right beside the M25 just north of Noak Hill.

Wildlife

The canopy is dominated by oak, with some coppiced hornbeam and sweet chestnut and a little silver birch. A patchy shrub layer includes elder, holly and elm with honeysuckle and bramble below. A ditch and bank, probably an ancient boundary feature, runs through the wood.
