Wildlife

Poplar Dock is now a well-used marina, with moorings and boats covering most of its surface. Despite the restricted area of open water, a few pairs of coot and mallard nest regularly, and tufted ducks nest in some years. Larger numbers of tufted ducks can appear in hard winters.
