This park extends in a north/south configuration within the River Roding Valley. It was first opened to the public in 1958, but the history of the site extends right back to the 13th century when the land was part of the Ray House Estate. Today the site still retains some of its historic features, such as the locally listed house and the Grade II listed octagonal walled garden. There are also many modern facilities, including an equipped children’s play area, a trim trail, sports pitches and tennis courts.
