Project description

A nature recovery flood resilience project first scoped by the Trust in 2018, that would 'connect' two nature reserves we manage - Gutteridge Wood & Meadows and Ten Acre Wood, currently 'linked' by the Yeading Brook. Some initial hydrological assessments have been undertaken, but it awaits further feasibility studies as the area has been identified as a potential (re)wilding zone in the London Rewilding Taskforce's report (2023), one of 11 being assessed by the London Rewilding Action Group through to later 2024. The boundary of the project is specifically fuzzy at this point.
