Description

The Ruffet is a small woodland within the Chapel View Estate. The name is old English and means a meadow overgrown with bushes or wasteland or a small wood and is possibly 14th century.

Wildlife

The wood has mainly oak trees but also a few beech and silver birch. Various woodland plants and birds are present.
