Description
Wildlife
The Wyncham Stream, a tributary to the River Shuttle, is characterised by reinforced banks and a heavily modified channel. It supports limited wetland vegetation, but still functions as an important corridor supporting habitats on the top of its river bank and on less modified stretches. Its banks are lined with field maple, ash, crack willow and alder while stands of scrub with elder, wild cherries and hawthorn provide important habitat for birds. The top of the river bank supports tall herbs with typical species such as water figwort, great willowherb and field horsetail.
