Description

This is a fine area of woodland which is excellent for birdwatching.

Wildlife

This woodland comprises native beech with an understorey of yew and whitebeam, and an area of coppiced hazel. At ground level plants include abundant sanicle and pignut. The site has good numbers of both redwings and fieldfares in winter.
