This large site is composed of a mosaic of fields and small woods with connecting hedgerows, which together create a distinctly rural feel. The woodlands are generally dominated by pedunculate oak, ash and hornbeam over hazel, field maple, hawthorn and Midland hawthorn. Alder and crack willow are abundant in areas with wetter soil, silver birch in open areas and beech over poorer soils.
