Description

St Thomas’s is an attractive churchyard with remnant neutral or slightly acidic grassland that includes a diversity of wild flowers, mosses and fungi.

Wildlife

Common knapweed, meadow vetchling, hairy sedge, field woodrush, bird's-foot-trefoil, burnet saxifrage and mouse-ear hawkweed are widespread in the churchyard. Spindle fungus occurs frequently, suggesting that the grassland may support a notable collection of fungi.
