The Edgware Brook flows across a sports ground, just west of Whitchurch School. It includes a meandering stream with wet grassland, and a nearby wooded ditch, which provide wildlife habitats around the edges of sports fields. The site is partly accessible to the public, with no access to the area within the school sports ground.

Description
Wildlife
The meandering brook is lined with willows and regularly floods some of the adjacent grassland. Wet, seasonally inundated neutral grassland is an uncommon habitat in London. Further north is a wet ditch lined with broad-leaved woodland and tall herbs. The ditch has patches of marginal and submerged aquatic vegetation, including curled pondweed and arrowhead, the latter rather scarce in London. The little-disturbed woodland and wetland are likely to be of value for breeding birds.Facilities
