Churchyard of St Mary with St Alban, Teddington
Borough: Richmond upon Thames
Grade: Local
Access: Free public access (all/most of site)
Area: 0.56 ha

Description

This attractive churchyard is a pleasant blend of formal and semi-natural landscapes. Alongside Ferry Road, the grass between the graves is kept short to present a tidy appearance. Away from the road, the grass is allowed to grow longer, with a hay cut in late summer.

Wildlife

Wildflowers thrive on the site, including rosy garlic, honesty and wood avens. Foxgloves and sweet violets grow in the shade cast by a group of yew and lime trees.
