This is an attractive little park, with the character of a village green, alongside the River Crane in Twickenham. The river corridor is shaded by overhanging trees and fenced off from the park itself.

Description
Wildlife
Most of the park comprises informally managed short grass, but there are plenty of daisies and other low-growing wildflowers, such as lesser trefoil and dove's-foot crane's-bill. Where the grass is allowed to grow longer towards the edges of the site, swathes of cow parsley, with creeping buttercup and common mallow enhance its rural character. Mature trees include ornamental cherry, Lombardy poplar and avenues of a purple form of Norway maple.A fair range of common birds can be found here, such as blackbird, collared dove, blue tit, chaffinch, and the - now ubiquitous in west London - ring-necked parakeet.Facilities
