Description

This delightful little site demonstrates just how much can be fitted into a small garden. It is a veritable gem of a site, which should come as no surprise having been extensively made over by Charlie Dimmock’s Ground Force. The garden is much used by Bellenden Primary School across the road and replaces one that used to be in the school grounds.

Wildlife

The site includes a semi-formal garden, a wildflower meadow and a woodland area. The latter includes birch, field maple, ash and oak trees. Scrub species include hazel, common hawthorn, elder, dogwood and dog rose. A native hedgerow along the southern boundary consists of wild privet and hawthorn. New planting of apple and pear trees is planned in the south east corner.
