Wildlife
This woodland has a rather open canopy composed of sycamore, field and Norway maples, beech, pedunculate and holm oaks, yew, ash and some large cedars. The shrub layer, though not particularly well developed, has hawthorn, elder, and buckthorn. The latter indicates the chalk substrate, as does the presence of false brome, with the larger wood brome also occurring here. Common birds found among the trees include goldcrest, blue tit and great spotted woodpecker.Facilities
