Description

Stepping Stones Farm was set up in 1979 after extensive community consultation. It is home to pigs, cows, goats, sheep, ducks, geese and several smaller animals including ferrets and chinchillas. The farm is a valuable site for environmental education, and popular with the local community. It is entirely staffed by volunteers.The farm is open Tuesday–Sunday, 10am-4pm. It is closed on Mondays except for bank holidays.

Wildlife

Wasteland vegetation is scattered around the site in areas where there is slightly less disturbance. An area of grassland at the southwest end of the site supports green alkanet, ribwort and greater plantains, black horehound and white deadnettle.
