Description

Greenway Avenue Wood is a small woodland close to Epping Forest and adjacent to the Greenway Avenue Community Garden. Public access is via a track from Greenway Avenue.

Wildlife

This small site is dominated by ash, with oak, sycamore, and some exotics also present. The well-defined understorey also includes hawthorn and elder, with abundant bramble, ivy and herb-robert in the ground flora. A few small patches of grassland and tall flowers appear near the entrance.
