This small site near West Drayton comprises a range of habitats, and is also the grounds for the Southlands Arts Centre – a haven of peace despite an adjacent major road. These include grassland and a small pond linked to a wet area in the west of the site by a narrow channel.

Description
Wildlife
The central area has flower-rich grassland with abundant common knapweed, yarrow and ribwort plantain. Meadow crane's-bill, a scarce species in London, also grows here. The damper soil and wet hollows in the western part of the site support different plant communities, with floating sweet-grass, great willowherb, yellow iris, brooklime and scattered crack willows. Hedgerows consist of English elm with occasional wild cherry and common lime, interspersed by hawthorn and elder. The small pond supports reed sweet-grass, branched bur-reed and common club-rush.Facilities
