Wildlife
These woods are largely made up of ash and pedunculate oak, with some hornbeam coppice. The shrub layer is patchy but includes field maple, hazel, wild cherry, hawthorn and holly. Ground flora is dominated by bramble, with abundant bluebell throughout the wood. A number of other wildflowers are to be found, together with a good variety of woodland grasses, including hairy-brome, false-brome, wood meadow-grass and giant fescue. There is also a rich community of woodland birds and invertebrates.Facilities
