Description
Wildlife
The churchyard has a wooded section containing a variety of trees and shrubs both native and exotic including sycamore (Acer pseudoplatanus), oak (Quercus robor), horse chestnut (Aesculus hippocastanum), yew (Taxus baccata) and Japanese spindle (Euonymous japonicus). The grassland includes common bent (Agrostis capillaris), false oat-grass (Arrhenatherum elatius), red fescue (Festuca rubra), self-heal (Prunella vulgaris), common cat's-ear (Hypochoeris radicata) and red and white clovers (Trifolium pratense and repens). The urban setting of the site means that it is also something of a haven for birds and butterflies; foxes have also been seen here.Facilities
