Falcon Wood Meadow was originally farmland as part of the Parish Tyler Estate, but was acquired by the Council in 1936 to meet the expected needs of the rapidly growing lower Addington. It was opened to the public in 1968. The site has good connectivity, being adjacent to a golf course and a short distance from Selsdon Wood Nature Reserve and other woodlands to the south.
