Mostly laid to grass this sloped site with a number of mature trees and shrubs, and areas of wildflowers, these Gardens are dedicated to residents of the London district of Streatham who are affected by war. Central to the site is a memorial, designed by Alfred Toft, dedicated to those who lost their lives in the two World Wars. The Gardens also contain a civilian memorial which was unveiled in 2006 and is dedicated to all those from or living in Streatham affected by all forms of war and conflict.
