Slade Gardens was opened in 1958 following the development of a Second World War bomb site. The Gardens are designed with open sightlines across the space and contain a children’s playground, outdoor gym, nature conservation area and dog exercise area, along with seating, paths, ornamental trees and low shrubs, and wildlife-friendly herbaceous and border planting.
