This is a steep hill with wooded slopes and open grassland on top. Woodland is dominated by hybrid black-poplar and London plane, relics of former landscaping, with a wide variety of other trees and shrubs.A strip of woodland on the southern edge of the adjacent allotments contains wild service-tree, Midland hawthorn and some fine old pollarded oaks.The site also has considerable historical interest. One Tree Hill was declared a Local Nature Reserve in 2007.
