Description

This quiet and small area of woodland is hidden behind houses on all sides. In name it is all that remains of a huge area called Spring Park Wood which reached from Ash Road to Spout Hill and Bridle Way. It is managed partly by volunteers, has a very natural feel and remains largely free from disturbance.

Wildlife

The canopy species are oak and birch with occasional beech, wild cherry and aspen. The understorey trees include rowan, holly and whitebeam. Beneath these are bramble, bluebell and wood anemone.
