This site lies just across the A406 from Hanger Hill Wood and consists of two parts. Hanger Hill Park is a typical formally managed public park with a pitch and putt course in the north half and a more formally managed park in the south half. Fox Wood is one of the few remaining woodland areas in Ealing and has been managed as a Local Nature Reserve since 1991 by the London Wildlife Trust. It has the main wildlife interest for this site.

Description
Wildlife
Fox Wood is a mixed woodland, partly on the slope of a drained reservoir. It has a wide variety of species. There are wood anemones here as well as other woodland flowers such as wood avens, garlic mustard and lesser celandine. Two small meadows occur north of the playing fields between the two arms of the woodland. Colourful wildflowers have been planted here and the meadows are cut annually for hay, to retain their value for wildlife. The grasslands are disappointing over much of Hanger Hill Park, but on the banks to the east there are some more interesting areas. The best features here are the ancient hedge in the west and the mature oaks towards the middle that may have been part of an historic hedge line.Facilities
