Description

Pymmes Park is a large park with a lake supporting a good range of water birds.Pymmes Park won a Green Flag Award for 20089. ‘Get Walking, Get Talking’ project uses this site – a Walking the Way to Health (WHI) scheme; see link for details.

Wildlife

The main feature of wildlife interest in the park is its large lake. It has a good marginal flora, including water figwort, remote sedge and gypsywort. Common breeding wildfowl include mallard, tufted duck, coot, moorhen, mute swan and Canada goose.
