Description

This park includes a grassland and a small lake, and is surrounded on three sides by the ancient woodland of Shepherdleas Wood. It adds to the complex of habitats at the Shooters Hill Woodlands. The Green Chain Walk passes though the site.

Wildlife

Much of the grassland is managed as a meadow. It is dominated by false oat-grass, perennial rye-grass and crested dog's-tail. Several common wild flowers also grow here, including common knapweed, oxeye daisy and several species of clovers and buttercups. The lake supports common waterfowl, but contains little vegetation.
