Wildlife

Bluebell wood is an ancient woodland dominated by sessile oak. It also features the rare wild service-tree and Midland hawthorn in the understory. The wood's ground flora includes wood anemone and predictably, bluebell. Wood millet grows on the banks of the stream on the western edge ad common birds, insects and animals are often seen. The golf course itself contains extensive areas of acid and neutral grassland with scattered trees.
