Description

This small park contains several features of value to wildlife, including numerous mature trees and areas of native woodland and scrub planting.

Wildlife

The trees are mostly towards the edges of the site, and include some fine large London planes and common limes. There is a dense stand of blackthorn scrub on the northern edge, and extensive shrubberies around much of the perimeter. These provide nest sites and food for a good range of common birds. Also on the northern edge is a sunny bank, covered in rough grassland and tall herbs, which is likely to support a good diversity of invertebrates.
