Description
Wildlife
Woodland areas include giant redwood, large, planted horse-chestnuts, plentiful hazel and common hawthorn. Butcher's broom grows amongst the large pedunculate oaks and elm suckers, and it appears likely that some elements of ancient woodland have persisted here. The ponds support a rich wetland plant population. This includes flowering rush, water pepper, water horsetail, floating sweet-grass, common water-plantain, great reedmace, water forget-me-not, greater spearwort and masses of common water starwort. The ponds and their muddy margins support insects including the water-measurer and a range of water beetles.Facilities
Playground.
