Description

This small, ancient churchyard includes some flower-rich acid grassland.

Wildlife

The churchyard includes a good area of acid grassland with burnet saxifrage, sheep's sorrel and lady's bedstraw. The grass is not too frequently cut so allows for lots of flowering and seeding burnet saxifrage. One tomb has a vigorous colony of maidenhair spleenwort, a scarce fern in London, growing from a crack in its side. The church may also contain a bat roost.
