A large flat meadow with a variety of habitats, Roxbourne Rough is a well used site adjoining Roxbourne Park. It has a variety of grassland, wetland, hedgerow and woodland habitats, and lies alongside the Metropolitan Line’s Uxbridge branch, between Rayners Lane and Eastcote stations.

Wildlife
Typical plants include tufted hair-grass, reed sweet-grass, hard rush, greater bird's-foot-trefoil, sneezewort and grass vetchling. The site is also important for its strong population of red bartsia, flowering from mid to late summer. The site is important for its insects, and both the white-letter hairstreak butterfly and a local dead-wood nesting wasp (Psen dahlbomi) have been recorded here.Facilities
