Bingfield Park
Borough: Islington
Grade: Local
Access: Free public access (all/most of site)
Area: 1.21 ha

Description

Bingfield Park is a relatively large open space consisting mainly of amenity grassland, and includes the Crumbles Castle Adventure Playground. Although the park is open at all times, the playground is well fenced and only open at restricted times when an attendant is present, for obvious reasons of safety.

Wildlife

At the eastern end of the park are some dense ornamental shrubberies containing elder, guelder rose, birch and lilac that provide food and cover for common birds. The rest of the park is rather open, conspicuously lacking any substantial tree cover.

Facilities

Adventure Playground.
