Wildlife

Native species such as hazel, holly, elm, rowan and elder can be found at this site. The garden is shaded by plane, horse-chestnut and false-acacia trees. In the small lawn at the northern end the yellow flowers of lady's bedstraw can be found, not a particularly common plant in inner London and one that was used in times past to treat a variety of complaints, including gall stones.
