Description

The grand landmark square at Newington Green consists of a central lawn with two large circular rose beds, bounded on its outer perimeter by a row of majestic London plane trees.The square was completely redesigned in 2004, with new paths, seating, children’s play area and a cafe. Newington Green won a Green Flag Award again for 20089.

Wildlife

The London planes have been under-planted with various native trees and shrubs around half the perimeter, to create a band of woodland, of use to common songbirds and insects.
