Access: Free public access (all/most of site)
Area: 1.23 ha

Description

This site includes two parks separated by a road. Skinner Street Open Space is a diverse and attractive park containing areas of amenity lawn and mature trees, as well as a 3-corners adventure playground. Spa Fields Gardens is a medium sized, recently landscaped park with a range of habitats.

Wildlife

Skinner Street Open Space supports a good balance of amenity lawn and wildlife areas including mature trees, and it includes innovative combinations of different habitat types. The wildlife value of the site may be diminished if re-landscaping removes ruderal and scrub communities. Spa Fields Gardens includes species-rich ornamental flower beds, amenity grassland lawns, areas where ornamental grape vines are being grown, scattered trees and ornamental shrubberies.
