Description

Old Mortlake Burial Ground is a small cemetery with mature trees and flowery grassland.

Wildlife

This site is quite intensively managed, but its grasslands contain a reasonable diversity of wildflowers, including cat's ear, mouse-ear hawkweed, lady's bedstraw, oxeye daisy, bird's-foot trefoil and creeping cinquefoil. Some of these suggest an acid influence. The cemetery contains plenty of mature trees, mostly horse chestnuts, with a few yew, copper beech and cedar.
