Description

Old Mortlake Burial Ground is a small cemetery with mature trees and flowery grassland.

Wildlife

This small cemetery's grasslands contain a reasonable diversity of wild flowers, including cat's ear, mouse-ear hawkweed, lady's bedstraw, common knapweed, oxeye daisy, bird's-foot trefoil and creeping cinquefoil. Some of these suggest a weakly acid soil; however, the grassland structure is more typical of neutral grassland. The cemetery contains plenty of mature trees, mostly horse chestnuts with a few yew, copper beech and cedar.
