Description
Wildlife
Wildlife habitats are mainly the scattered trees and scrub along much of the brook as well as the flowing water itself. Abundant tree species are oak, ash, crack willow, hawthorn, elder and young sycamore. The stream has little plant life, due to being heavily overshadowed. However fool's watercress, pendulous sedge and soft rush do manage to grow here. Plants of the upper banks include garlic mustard, cow parsley, hogweed, nettle and large bindweed. A number of bird species have been recorded beside the Ching Brook. These include grey wagtail, house sparrow and chiffchaff.Facilities
