The Copse is small woodland, separated from Epping Forest of which it was formerly part, by the houses in a road also called The Copse.

Description
Wildlife
The canopy is dominated by hornbeam, oak, willow, and ash. A few old specimens are present - presumably relics of the old forest, but most are younger. Hawthorn and blackthorn are quite common in the understorey and also form a short length of hedge. The ground flora includes nettle, cleavers, cow parsley, ivy and garlic mustard. The nationally declining song thrush is known to hold territory here.Facilities
