This garden is divided into two sections, the main garden being the southern portion. This is a traditional style park, mostly formally managed and developed on the site of an old churchyard or burial ground. It still maintains something of a solemn atmosphere, and one of the mausoleums has been retained.

Description
Wildlife
Mature trees are scattered mainly around the edges of the garden and are predominately London plane, although there are some beech and lime. Smaller trees include red flowering hawthorn, silver birch, holly and rowan. A large weeping ash probably provides nesting holes for blue tits. The shrubberies are sparse, except near the office, but dense ivy on the west wall provides good cover, supplemented by the holly. There is a substantial amount of new planting that is at present rather low, as well as a number of fine lawns where walking is forbidden, and germander speedwell is present. At the southern end of the garden is an excellent modern playground, and behind this is a 'natural' woodland bank with native beech and London plane, holly, lilac, elder and hawthorn. The ground is bare and compacted, indicating active use, partly because a slide runs down the bank into the playground. Magpie, blackbird, robin, blue tit and feral pigeon are all regularly seen, together with grey squirrels. The northern garden is small and quiet with scattered trees, mainly London plane but also some varieties of cherry and three mature sycamores. There is a narrow shrubbery around the edge containing lauristinus, Oregon-grape, and barberry. The lawn is composed of short, dense turf with daisies. There is a small area of bulbous buttercups, and lords-and-ladies around the base of one of the trees. Woodpigeon, starling, blackbird, wren, blue tits and great tits have been recorded hereFacilities
